These Londons were covered in many layers of paint. I soaked em in paint stripper, and with Jimmy's advice, got em to a nice polished raw look. [Image Can Not Be Found]

For painted metal, soak in paint stripper, then blast off with high pressure hose.
For alloys, soak in caustic soda to remove colour. Rinse thoroughly.
Wear glasses and gloves. Very toxic.

Sand your now raw metal with wet n dry 340# (wet) until all scratches, rust, dirt, paint etc is all gone and you have a sparkling looking metal. This part takes hours or even days. If you're doing a frame, hit it a few hours each day.

Sand metal with wet n dry 2000# (wet) until all 340# marks are gone.
Now sand with 2000# (dry) so as to leave no rust.

Do not touch with your fingers. Use cleaner than clean gloves.
Wipe all dust from part, and immediately coat with your clear coat.
Do not buy your clear from the $2 shop. You need to pay around $20 to get a quality non yellowing can.

Apply a few wet coats ten minutes apart in warm weather, or at least in the daytime.
Apply a few more coats over the next few days following instructions on spray can.

Nice and simple bike. Love it!

Is the chain gold too?

I like how the seatpost almost looks like part of the frame because of the minimal seatclamp.

Thanks Paul I'm really stoked on it. The chain is a gold kmc hollow one. I wouldn't mind trying to lighten it up alittle more, it heavier then my street bike haha.

Bit of an update.
[img:2076l2e6]http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u68/kaoskreator/P8140002.jpg[/img:2076l2e6]

Cracked the shits and went LHD with a reverse to ribcage, some sprocket, GLH on the front, fucking colony pedal on the left that is seized to the insert hence is in there forever. Double glands. Front is a marmoset to 7ka. Fly potencia stem as well.

Whats the go with the seat? Kept poking me in the back of my knee and fucking shit up, so Sean and I cut the nose off it. Now it just cuts me. Got me a good one on the back of me knee that i should have gotten stitches for, but didn't cause Im a dickhead. So, to prevent it from cutting me, its allllll the way down. Cheap pivvy seats anyone?
