Hey Paul,

I have a whole heap of parts and maybe even a frame for the bike project. How do I get it out there?

Hey Jamie!

Wow that's awesome! If you've got stuff to donate it has to get to Perth by next Wednesday. To the same address that you sent the phone pouch too. What do you have spare?

Cheers,

Paul

Andrew will see his crank on Chicken Boy's bike. Thanks for that it's gone to good use. There are also heaps of other small parts on Chicken's bike - thanks Karl for collecting those from Melbourne riders and donating your own.

Phuoc is of course riding Ben Moran's bike.

These guys have progressed so much since they got some good parts each. I'm inspired to send more and will be doing so soon. I'm in Perth at the moment and on the collection. Mike and Buff mentioned that they have some parts if anyone else does give me a holler and I can pick them up on the weekend or next week sometime before I go back to Sydney. It's awesome to see unused parts being put to such good use by others less fortunate than us.

Big thanks to all involved - especially Ben for giving his entire bike away!!!

So I'm on the collection again - If you've got stuff to donate I'll pay for you to post it to Sydney.

Radical!

Paul

Your welcome Paul. I must thank Andrew also as he brang that complete crankset to the Sydney comp for my projects. I sent enough to the Philippines so felt Vietnam needed some love too. [Image Can Not Be Found] I'm super glad someone took care of the scene in Vietnam too. Great job Paul. [Image Can Not Be Found]

I was supposed to go to Vietnam in July to be best man in a wedding. Sadly my circumstances have changed and I'm almost broke. I had planned to bring a complete bike and leave it there Paul. I'm sorry to disappoint but unless my circumstances change for the better I won't be going to Vietnam or donating parts either. I know you knew of my plans so I'm sorry for letting you down Paul. <!-- sCry --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="Cry" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- sCry -->

It's ok Karl. I just hope that you can find order in your life - That's got to be the priority. Good luck, hope things get better for you. I'm happy to collect and post stuff myself anyway.

If you want or I can give them back to you as I can't remeber what
I am suppose to do with them...

I have had no luck trying to find water with them and I can't tune music with them either...
Have tried to use them as a shanghai but that got me into trouble...

Maybe throw them out Brett - the steerer is so worn at the bottom that a race won't sit tightly... Can you fix them? You'd have to custom make a race. . . Big job. . .

Got plenty of stuff to send to Vietnam from the boys in Perth - So much that I couldn't take all of it in one trip!

Cheers guys!

Hey guys,

Things have moved on pretty well in Vietnam. Chicken Boy is on Freestyle Now and Shaun helps him out with parts. I'm also still collecting parts and sending them when I can afford it.

Been hooking Phuoc (the guy who Ben gave the bike too) up a lot too. he recently received a package that had stuff that I got from Newcircle, Hell on Wheels and you lovely people in it. He's pretty stoked.

I'd like to collect some more stuff to send when I'm down in Melbourne if you guys have anything that's going unused. I'm really after some pegs for Phuoc because he's on big heavy mild steel pegs from the market at the moment. Postage is very very expensive so heavy parts are a bit of a no no unless they are really good. Last package of small parts cost me $80 to send uninsured and it probably weighed less than 1.5kg.

I'll take anything that people have spare but I'd really like to send some decent pegs to Phuoc next time as that's what he needs.

If you've got anything kicking around bring it along to the jam on Saturday,

Paul

Shit!

Update on Phuoc's bike!!!

So Phuoc told me that his frame cracked and he had it rewelded. He obviously understated the severity of the crack though. . . I didn't realise that he completely snapped the seatstay!!!!!!

His bike looks good though from this angle!

I need to find him a frame. It's going to cost me at least a $120 to post it so I want to send something fairly burly around 5lbs (or a bit less) that is good quality and isn't going to break anytime soon. If anyone has a frame to sell or donate please let me know!

Cheers,

Paul
