hey everybody,in a few months (probably 2 or so months) im organising a jam up here in newy,im just checkin 2 c how many of u would cum up 4 it b4 i get it crankin.....it will b a saturday/sunday 2 day thing...i can hook up accomadation 4 about 15 people...we will ride saturday,pub it up,watch sum bands,do wot eva,then sunday ride sum more...we have an undercover spot if weather is crap and its lit up at night if people wanna ride then....the courts are smooth as your mums ass and a subway sanga shop is 2 second ride from the spot...there are 30 or so courts so it wont get crowded or busy with walk thru wanks...cops are sweet aswell...hope 2 hear from every1 soon,spread the word 2 any1 who isnt on the forum aswell...im going 2 try do this twice a year with prizes and stuff...i thought id take a page out of stu's book and get my finger out 4 my sport... Maybe not that many people have read your thread yet.
Maybe they're busy.
Maybe they don't want to go to newcastle to ride.
Maybe they're not interested in a 2 day jam.
Maybe there's just not that many riders in Sydney.
Maybe they're newbies and feel intimidated by the idea of a jam.

u guys have it fine down there man,you have jams every weekend so you take it 4 granted...as i said,not directed at u so dont go me...its different up here,we have a decent amount of riders up here....they just dont seem 2 give a shit coz ive been riding flat 4 3 years now and ive ridden with the sydney boys once...go figure...i dont give a fuk if uve seen me lose it twice,it doesnt botha me at all....and im not tina,u give me shit and we will have sum fun....now with that said i hope you think b4 you have a shot at me again,i dont want any shit from any1,im just tryin 2 get sumthing crackin up here,sorry 4 tryin 2 make it a bit more fun 4 the riders up here dude....i wont do it again....

So much anger(Mik).Calm down and put yourself in other peoples shoes,Peope love to jam but, people have kids,jobs,study,girlfriends and need money which they have to come first in someways.If people don't want to jam with you guys,that find,accept it.It's good you want to put together a jam,as you say it's not often you get to jam with other flatlanders.You seem so intense,hopefully meet you at the next BMXgames!
Also by the sounds of it,you have put some effort into it which is awesome,you guys have a good scene in Aus.If i could afford it i would be there!

yeh dude, we have enough trouble getting the sydney riders to ride in sydney let alone newcastle lol. But dude, im there with bells on. No hard feelings dude, but most sydney guys work part time jobs from memory. Plus most of em dont use the net that often, i found calling people got the numbers up more than sending e-mails. Iv'e lost everyones numbers too, so i cant help us out haha! Sydney flatland for life... YEEWW!

Yeah mik calm down mate.
In all the years we've bene trying to get regular shit happening in Sydney, just Sydney, with only local Sydney guys and no one else, the best turnout we ever saw wouldn't have been over 10 riders.
Getting pissed at people who have legitimate reasons not to be able to make it, or in this case probably haven't seen your thread till now (like me) isn't really going to warm people to the idea of making a long trip to ride.
Unfortunately it seems like the best you can do is put the effort into the event and be thankful for the turnout you get regardless of how low the numbers are. I really hope this jam gets some annual momentum, and I'll do my best to be there for at least one of the days, but like everyone has said, not everyone might share your vision of what flatland deserves.
A lot of people just ride for themselves when they want for their own enjoyment and the jam scene might mean nothing to them. They, like myself, might have been injured and totally overworked, and as a result totally out of the flatland loop for the past few months and haven't so much as looked at their bike let alone have any intention of making a trip to somewhere and not be able to ride. You just can't know.
I'm sure mitch, Todd and I and anyone else will have no worries in drumming up as much support as we can locally to get people up there. I'm going to aim to be there for the Sunday, unless you're planning to make the saturday the bigger of the two days? But yeah if all those details are final then we can start hassling people around here right now.

ok,PHAT JAM is on the sunday 2nd july at midday till we fall down..sick child,martial clothing and two wheel industries are in for sure...ive made it a 1 day thing as it seems easier 4 everybody that way..any1 is welcome on the saturday if they want 2 run amuk up here beforehand...just let me know...ill post a flyer with help from dave and any other relevent info in the next couple of days....hope 2 c u up here....mik [Image Can Not Be Found]
