Accommodation is sorted. Wooto's booked a hostel for us - the whole thing. We just have to sort him out with the cash when we get to Tassy. We'll have the whole place to ourselves!!! The hall is booked and we've got a DJ lined up and booked in too. The hall's all ours so we can jam into the night and party too.
The basic plan is roll at the netball courts all day if the weather is good then hit up some indoor practice and have a comp in the hall late arvo. That gives people time to arrive if they're coming on the day.
Sunday we'll take it easy, hang out and have a jam. Barbecues are always an option too.
If you can get yourselves to Tassy we'll get you to Bridport. If you're flying or shooting yourselves over in a Cannon then Launceston is the place to aim for!

Any suggestions from people about other things we could do or ways to improve the event are always welcome from everybody. We started this thing to be an enjoyable event for all, so your suggestions and feedback are essential. I want everybody to feel a part of this and as many people to attend as possible.
Can't wait. I'm pumped to go. The place looks sooo nice and is well organized ahead of time and we all appreciate it. Cheers guys. [Image Can Not Be Found][/quote:38x3g9nf]
Thanks Karl - me too. I've got a really good feeling about this one. Well we have to learn from our mistakes. You can't trust the weather any time of year in Tassy because it rains so often and if people are coming from far away and spending a lot money it HAS to be indoors - or like this event there has to be both options. We've also learned that the events can only be in places where there are people on the ground willing (and more importantly ABLE) to help with organisation. It's all East Coast this year to minimize travel costs for the majority and to access the pool of riders who aren't able to travel. It sucks a bit for the Perth guys but they've had two, Melbs has only had one and Tassy is still a virgin. [Image Can Not Be Found]
Any exact date and/or place about round 2? Ill be in Maitland so I can easily roll to Sydney and catch my first ever DUG[/quote:14hehkj2]
Hey man,
I'll be living in Sydney at the end of the the month and then I'll personally start looking for a decent indoor location. It'll be a while before everything can be confirmed 100%. Sorry. Can't do an exact date at the moment but it's something I'll be working on shortly.

But where will the skid marks in your pants go?
Edit: (To avoid derailing this thread) the reason I asked about plastic pegs et al, was because the last comp held indoors (flatitude?) had them as a requirement -> and if they are going to be required in Tassie I would need to budget for them now.

No worries man, Wooto and I have been in this discussion and we are lookin into different types of coverings for the floor so we don't damage it, so it's a no to plastic pedals, pegs and bar ends, we wouldn't expect everyone to go out and buy all that just for one event, but good question though. Will look forward to seeing ya there!
Peace and BMX!
