I still ride. Truth is I had alot going on these last few months, and the weathers been atrocious for ages. However, I'm back into it now and was at Imax yesterday. Despite how busy I am or get, I still put alot of time into this sport. <!-- s

So at the moment you have to attend all three rounds to be in the running to be overall winner. Not a lot of people make it to all three rounds especially as one round was in Perth. I'm hoping that with Melbs, Tassy and Sydney being closer together (driving distances) more people who currently don't attend much will make it to all three rounds but we'll see...
So Melbs is the final - you have to attend Melbs to be in the running to be overall winner. However, I'd like to offer people the chance to make an online submission if they're not able to attend one (or both?) of the other rounds. Obviously a physical appearance would have to count for more points. I don't know, maybe online submissions are scored from 0-60 and the physical comp is judged from 20-80? That's something I haven't thought very much about yet. I want all riders in Australia to be involved. All it will take is one motivated rider with a camera in each scene to start putting people on the map. There are so many more riders here than people outside of Australia know about. I want them to see a huge list of names in future!!! It gives us something else to do on the weekend too and it makes it a little more exciting to not know what's going to happen a little more. Anyway - that's the pitch! Maybe you disagree.
When I said I wanted to talk about it first it was because I'm not sure if it's what the other guys want to do but I guess if people on the forum like it it helps a lot because it's definitely what I want. The scoring system will need work and the judging system will obviously need work too.
So yeah - you're right - I think input from everyone who's here at the moment would be good.

Yeah, I think that's a good idea. It's just I don't think we would want a bunch of randoms from the otherside of the world entering as it would loose the local flavour.
DUG is an Australian event put on by Australians for our region.
But I like your idea, visit us and get to ride in the video comp as well!

Hell Yeah Tassie DUG. The comp is going to be in Bridport about 45 mins from Launceston on the north coast of Tas. So it will be a road trip feel! and we have the hostel booked for just us riders so we can leave bikes and carry on without worrying anyone but each other. Daytime Jam and night time comp (is the plan so far) so hopefully see as many riders as possible.
If any one is booking flights maybe try and get there on the friday(or earlier) so we can convoy in cars or maybe a bus on saturday morning the19 feb. Its gona be an absolute BANGER!

I just asked Jen if we'd be driving but it seems like we're flying. I wonder if the Anchor guys will head over - They're coming to Vietnam next weekend so I'll ask them then.

Super stoked on the tassie round, its been a long time coming, sorry bout that. Wootto said it, its gonna be a banger so it would be sweet as to get a big crew down here, what a great opportunity for everyone who hasnt been to tas before, lookin forward to it.
