if you've got a helmet you may as well.
Especially riding in Hyde Park, they've got a heap of cops on the beat now for "visible force". Some of them, to put it nicely, are complete cunts about it. One of the cops there ocassionally actually used to be a flatlander and he's totally cool about it all as you'd expect. But some of them must have been demoted so they could shift more police around on foot and are still sore about it cuz they'll try and pick you up for whatever they can.
I'm seriously surprised they haven't tried doing us for having no reflectors.
But that's only really a problem on sundays and we'll be in Homebush anyhow. But you may as well bring it just to be on the safe side.

[quote="Sneeze":2ynvrbrh]FFS, You're kidding right?!???
There is NO WAY that I am leaving my bike unsecured in a backpackers hostel. For gods sake the bloody travel guides even tell you not to leave valuable stuff in your rooms at them.
You don't take a massive lump of chain with you on the plane. You go to a hardware store when you get there and buy it.[/quote:2ynvrbrh]
im taking my lock, just not a massive length of chain, i lock my bike up before i give it to the airline. just in case, you dont need to tell me about locking stuff up, sneeze, if that is your real name, which i know its not.
