Here's my custom ti bar ends with internal bearings.
AKA training wheels. [Image Can Not Be Found] Consists of WTP bar ends,
then O ring, then ti bolt, then the custom lug with shoulder.
Basically weighs nothing, but keeps the bearing in place without
locking up on the bars or lug.
The bearing is in place with araldite to prevent exploding as
bearings are not bombproof.

But they do look/sound pretty hi-tech as I'm pretty happy with my plastic bar ends [Image Can Not Be Found].
