So I got my tubes changed and now they flat again (maybe I am too fat)

But trying to patch it up this time instead of going to the mechanic.

I don't have a spanner for the pegs. What do I need to buy? It is call a wrench?

I don't know. All I know is when I try to patch them with the pegs on I slightly sewer the tube out and patch 1 hole (that's all I've found) and it still doesn't inflat!

Anyway what new?

What seems to be the problem exactly?

As he said he's too fat... Maybe you got something sharp somewhere like a spoke or chrome flakes or the join isn't welded and pinching the tube or your pinching it when installing it or you are riding over glass too many times or maybe your not applying the glue and patch correctly??? Or maybe you really are just too fat(unlikely and just kidding)

Two things you should always do when changing a tube:

1) Check the inside and the outside of tyre for any nails/thorns but BE CAREFUL, because you can cut yourself on something sharp

2) Check your rim tape is on properly and there should be no spoke ends pertruding to the inside of the rim, also check the rim for sharp edges elsewhere

Tube repairs are ancient history and bike tubes are only 6 bucks or something, repairs are hardly worth the time and effort

Forget the mechanic dude changing a bike tube is video ezy, if you got pegs you need a socket/ratchet with a 15mm or 14mm thingy I can't remember the size

dude you sound like your pinching the tube when you install the tyre.
the tyre leavers will be grabing the tube and puting a pinch in it.
if your tyres are tight to put on this will be a large problem.
try not to use leavers when puting the tyre back on
or
if you need to take great care not to get the tube wedged between the leaver and the rim.
also put a bit of air into your tube, not much just enough for it to have some shape, before you install the tube back into the tyre.

I mind as well get the tubes changed. Last time that cost me $30 for 2 tubes and new tyres to put on.

What's the best price to get the tubes changed and pumped up?

Problem was. I don't have anything to take off the pegs so I try to patch the tubes with the tire on by .... taking most of it out the tire.

I've used patches successively many times...
many cheap tubes aren't patch friendly though...

Invest in a good value for money toolkit from Repco[/url:10nc2inr or Bunnings[/url:10nc2inr.
