$149 is a steel on such a good long lasting wheel.

For the strong stiff setup this is a great piece of gear. 7KA's are one of the highest quality rims of today (there were better rims in the old days) and the Hazard hub is vouched for by so many people.

I'd buy it if I didn't already have two 48H front G-Sport wheels.

Sheer over kill for flatland... Maybe for a large person who doesn't care about weight and needs serious strength... 36h is enough and most modern wheels are much lighter and strong enough...

A little off topic but what are the G-Sport wheels like? I can get a new pair of rims for $150 posted.

Never used them but have a strong reputation as with all g sport stuff...
Little heavy for me but I only ride flat and not as transport so I don't need strong rims...

It's a Freudian slip isn't it. Subconsciously thinking about how heavy it is!

@Brett - I'm posting it here because I know that Scottie Blaze and older riders may still want this stuff. I'd run the wheel I guess but a 14mm front axle is overkill on any bike I totally agree.

I run 10mm on the front and back even for street and it holds totally fine. The strength is in the dropout and the interfaces between the peg, dropout and hub.
