Ok so the DownUnderGround is coming up in Tasmania, Launceston, Bridport on the 19th February
The bmx games are scheduled for the weekend after (hope this time it works) in Canberra
So here is the plan
Im going to flying into Launceston on the Friday morning 18th February hitting the comp and hanging in Tasmania for a few days. Im going to catch the ferry from Tasmania to Melbourne, more than likely on the Tuesday 22nd February. The plan is to stay in Melbourne for a day or two and then head to Canberra for the Friday 25th February. Mr Mike Brandt has also mentioned that this is a somewhat similar plan to what he was also thinking. Although the 22nd is a special day for him, something about his 21st bday.
Any way,
Anyone in Melbourne catching the ferry back from DUG?
Anyone driving to the bmx games from Melbourne to Canberra? (will share the petrol cost but possibly only one way, still not sure)
Anyone have a place to stay in Melbourne for a day or two?
Anyone keen to share accommodation in Canberra?
Anyone keen for some added interest on this trip and or suggestions,
Hire car road trip from melbs to Canberra???

Hmm, crazy, I had no idea that the bmx games were even on, let alone in Canberra, if i learnt to read stuff then maybe I might have known, Am I alone here?

i found out info on the ferry
sunday, monday, thursday - depart Davenport 9am - arriving port melbourne/south melbourne at 6pm
cost ticket about $75 per passenger
or
tuesday, wednesday - depart Davenport 7:30pm - arriving port melbourne/south melbourne at 6am
cost ticket about $125 per passanger in a share berth
if im going to catch the ferry i would at least like to see some of the bass straight so im looking at a day time trip.
but the would meen a shorter stay in Tasmainia

Consider me a maybe for everything haha!
I'm not sure when I start uni again - thats why I'm unsure. If I can get away from uni, I'd probably drive up to Canberra. Thats a maybe again though, I fucked up my engine a few days ago, so I need to sort that out. You could also possibly stay with me, depends what my new housemates are like.
I'll get back to you. Definately keen, just depends how all the mentioned problems go.

hey guys my missus is away untill late jan maybe early feb.So i can fit a few of you guys here.only probs is im at least a hour trip to the city on the train and a half hour ride to the station.but i have a good spot to ride outside my door and you can piss on and smoke up as much as you want with me.lol ....so keep that in mind

Booked my ticket to Tassy too. I get in on Friday evening.

Trip update
Looking into the ferry deal it seems that there is no point paying $150 for an overnight ferry trip. Not much to see. Would be better during the day. So ill be getting on a plane to Melbourne from Launceston probable on the Tuesday 22nd march at about $60
Looking at hiring a wicked camper van and driving from Melbourne to Canberra for the bmx games 26th and 27th Feb. And then onto Sydney.
Mr Chamberlain has also expressed interest in this idea and so has mike brandt.
camper hire is about $450 and fuel could be about $200.
Any more wanna get it sorted.

myself and markus will be going to tassy leaving here on the 17th on the boat and comeing back to melb on the 21 maybe earlier if we get a plane back.but wont be able to do the canberra trip.will have to save up again for syd.
