you should get more access as a competitor than as media.
At the planet x games competitors got way more clearance than I did as media. We were allowed on special viewing areas, but not the courses, where as the flat guys, mostly mike s that I noticed, were on the dirt jumps and street course armed with his competitor tag and a camera.

Nah Glen, FBMX is way more relaxed than OSM ever was. I had a media pass last year and had zero restrictions on where I could go. Not that it mattered much anyway coz people were just walking were they shouldnt have been. Dont know what it'll be like this year, but one thing is for sure, I wont have any restrictions as media [Image Can Not Be Found]
Kinda helps when you run the official site.
By the way, the schedule is up on http://www.bmxgames.net. Including when the FlatlandAustralia.com bomb trick comp will be on.That was going to be run under the safreestyle banner, but it made sense to run it under this site instead for obvious reasons.

Fair enough then.
So, just reading the schedule am I to understand that there's no AM Flat? Its just a big free for all where we all get beaten into submission by the pro level riders?

Last year everyone rode together. It worked well enough.
While they may be riding at the same time, they arent competing for the same prize.
We'll see how it works this year. I dont see much of a problem really. Flatlanders run their own show last year.

i will go along with maybe two other riders from NZ. i'm fully looking forward to it. would be pretty damn sweet to ride with you aussieland riders.

myself and a couple of friends are hoping to go from canberra. we've only just started riding and we've never met any real flatlanders yet so this should be awesome fun.

I've been looking forward to this for too long.. I was originally gonna go to the first one but ended up being completely broke when the time came.
