I can't really say anything bad about a video set to Muddy Waters - I played the harmonica along to it and watched it out of the corner of my eye. Conforms to the rules so that's 140pts. All others submitted from here on in get 120pts.
Nice one Sean!

I've thought about it Sean. There's about 10 seconds of flatland in the video and it's the same things twice. The rest utilises an obstacle and isn't good either.
You only get 120pts.
140pts is still up for grabs for the first video that actually contains somewhere near 2mins of unedited flatland.

No offense Paul but that's bullshit.
I don't really care about the points but stick with your decision next time.
The video clearly complied with the stated requirements and you yourself encouraged me to film it in front of my house.
I brought my actual camera to my real spot but it turns out it's broken so I had to film it off photobooth on my computer.
Obstacle? What happened to fr33styl3 bro.
If you don't think it qualifies I should get 0 points, if you do 140 because it was the first video. Demoting me to 120 points is just half-assed.

It clearly doesn't comply with the criteria because it's not 120secs of unedited flatland riding.
I did encourage you to do it in front of your house but I didn't say you could ride into a fence and do an endo, juggle, skateboard or whatever you wanted. It's flatland - not freestyle. In freestyle you can do anything with or without a bike. Flatland means no obstacles, ramps, benches etc.
I'd rather give you 120pts instead of 0 seeing as it almost meets the criteria. I'm not going back on this decision. You've got 120pts. 140pts is still there for the taking.

About time something was done about substandard videos getting points!!!
Although I liked looking at the rusty fence I felt that the rules should be that you need to be inside the shot we reasonable(ie rolling a trick that needed to go outside for a second or so) for the whole 2 minutes... It's a fucking flatland contest series not a comp series on who can make the most halfarse video... I s
watched every vid from last time and Sean your last video was decent as where most of them... I will be in Melbourne for the last one as will the other brizzy boys... Too much stuff going on to make it to syd unfortunately... Was one the cards but was too close to my holidays that I'm leaving for this weekend...

Exactly Brett - There has to be a balance between being happy to receive anything at all in Australia and receiving videos that contains less than 30 seconds of actual flatland.
So there's a new rule now. The video must contain at least 60 secs of flatland riding and be 120 secs long. Flatland riding is defined as tricks on the bicycle (a BMX as it's a BMX competition) that do not utilise any obstacles. So that's tricks on flat ground. Just you and the bicycle. No fences, no potholes, no benches. I'll let you define what a trick is for yourself seeing as it's 'freestyle'.
I don't want to see 60 secs of setting up but I'll accept it. If you want to include 60secs of random freestyle other stuff that's fine as long as you've got 60 secs of flatland. I'd like it if people put a little effort in given that I go to considerable effort and expense to host these events. I have to do heaps of stuff that I'm not comfortable doing like telling companies that they need to give me product for prizes etc. etc. etc.
It's entirely my fault if the rules aren't perfectly clear.
So these are the new rules:
1) unedited 120sec vid
2) must contain at least 60secs of flatland trickery
I think that's pretty self-explanatory, but again, maybe I've overestimated people...
I know you're going to Japan Brett. That's cool. I'd rather go to Japan and hang out with people whose passion for riding is as strong as mine! Melbourne will be really good. Let's finish this series in the way that I started it. As a way to bring people together. Next series will be totally different 100%.

[quote="Kit":luxbi42s]I'm aware I suck at both riding, and judging where the camera is pointing.
It's doing some fucking stupid converting thing, but will work in half an hour.[/quote:luxbi42s]
At least you pulled the hitch hiker! Would have been nice if you'd pulled that whiplash though. Rankings adjusted. I reluctantly award you the 140pts for the first legitimate submission!
