rear wheel butting

many have found that when they put their chain on they find that they are never close enough to butting or the chain will be super tight, well the problem has been fixed and many would have had the parts to do this but just never thought of it, i have a standard kmc chain on my bike but my breaker is a half link!

hehe yes a half link and it has solved many issues i was having with butting this also works using a full half link chain with a standard full link breaker.

I've been through that quite a while ago actually... and I'm fairly certain those standard halflinks don't work at all with a 9t driver. See the really flat edge on the bottom of the link?

(It doesn't look nearly as flat as the one I was working with though...)

They don't roll around the top of the driver that well and sit proud really tightening the chain to buggery.

I had to chamfer a nice neat arc around the bottom edge with a die grinder (or you could use a nice steady hand with a rat's tail file) so it was comparable to the other links.

It works well when this has been done, I had to do that with RIP. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Nice,

I kept looking at your pic and yeah, it definately does have more of an arc on the inside... Mine didn't doh!!!

Good stuff, I didn't know they were making them like that now... Me thinks I'll have to get some. [Image Can Not Be Found]
