I dunno how it worked last year, but I feel, as a part of the host city, we should be throwing some kind of gnarly jam seperate from the games while everyone is in town.
I'm sure everyone will be up for it, so when is everyone going to be in town so I know when to aim for?
It'd just be pretty casual, mostly because everyone's going to be in town anyway and what the fuck else are you going to do, and I can't be arsed hooking up any official arrangments for space or sponsorship. Plus if it got big enough it'd be more reason for the games organisers to leave us out next year like everyone else seems to be doing.
So I'm thinking maybe an ANZAC Hangover Jam and bbq on the Monday
Is that gonna sit with everyone's travel arrangments?
Let me know so we can start hooking things up

I dig the outside jam idea as something extra (did it last year with the Grav Constant2 jam), but where the hell did the rest come from? Why would FBMX want to drop flatland? They are all about promoting every dicipline. We gotta get behind bmx games so they dont drop flat. We cant be going around giving them a reason not to have it.

I'm not saying they would want to drop it, I'm just saying that if we ended up usurping the flatland event at the games it has the potential to make them wonder why they bothered.
It probly wouldn't and I'm 100% behind them, which is why I don't wanna step on any toes with the jam. In other words, just keepin it low key as a compliment to the comp.

I'm thinking either Meadowbank netball courts, or Brush Farm Netball courts.
Meadow Bank is pretty close to the station so it's nice and accessable, but Brush Park is way better as far as shade and water and places to sit.
Its closer to the Olympic site too... so
The Road Warriors tour a few years back stopped at Brush Park and we had a wicked day. It's the better venue, but yeah Meadowbank is just off the trainline which helps more people get there.

yeah,
i'll be there for sure. sounds cool, i'll be down to ride and shoot as much as i can
few things to think about -
timeing... as it turns out there was no need to be at the comp site much at last year. apart from watching the dirt kids fall outof the sky which is always fun and the flat comp. we could ride on the saterday afternoon perhaps, someone check with Heath about the times. last year there was qulifing with no need to quilfy.
one rider said to me that some people might hold back at apre-comp jam as to keep there best and new stuff close to there chest. i feel this is a moot point cos if someone has a kick ass bag of tricks then there isnt much anyone can do about it on the weekend of the comp.
but yeah, sounds cool, we are gonna try and stay near the comp site so somewhere no far away from there would be cool, and somewhere there are loads of hot chicks around too, that are easy

yeah, um my magic wand is in for repairs at the moment sorry [Image Can Not Be Found]
The flatland is apparently 3:00 to 4:00 on the saturday, so that rules out saturday pretty much. Because it'll be beer o'clock at 4 for sure.
And depending on how much access we're permitted as a competitor there's going to be a shitload of sick riding going down on the sunday that I'm sure people are going to want to see.
Not only that but it's netball season then I'm told, so if it's going to be at either of those netball courts (which so far seem to be the best option, but I'm looking into it) the actual weekend is ruled out anyhow.
Monday is conveniently a public holiday, although inconvenient for dave.
If you guys are staying near homebush and the perth guys are staying in the city, there's not going to be anywhere that will benefit both of y'all so I'm at least aiming for closeness to public transport.
And away from the city because there'll be shitloads of pissed diggers everywhere. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Maybe we could have a session in the city on the friday arvo as well... like an afternoon-evening thing so it doesn't clash with people working or schooling. Good excuse to get some more riding in before the comp
Hopefully the planters infront of the church will be gone by then and we can fit everyone in.
There's going to be so much god damn riding that weekend we may as well add some more! Its going to be awesome.
